New Media Artist Singapore
Jake Tan, professionally known as JXKE, is a Singapore-based New Media Artist and Creative Technologist working across art, science, and emerging technology.
A Singapore new media art practice
Jake Tan / JXKE creates interactive installations, immersive systems, and data-driven artworks. His practice brings together scientific methods, computation, creative coding, physical computing, and custom fabrication to make complex systems perceptible through embodied experience.
The work is grounded in Singapore while operating internationally. It asks how nature, technology, and society shape one another, often translating data, biological processes, movement, or computational models into responsive environments.
Art science and creative technology
In JXKE's art-science work, research is not only a source of subject matter; it is part of the material and method. Projects use data, sensors, software, microcontrollers, real-time media, AR/VR/MR, parametric design, projection mapping, and game engines.
Selected examples include Data, In Vivo, In Hot Waters, Latent Space, and LEDS-GO 8. Each project has its own technical and conceptual context; the links above are the primary sources for their details.
