On The Rocks
At Boiling Point

In Hot Waters is a collection of dynamic digital environments using climate data to visualise the effect of rising global average temperature.
Each artwork expresses the changes through a familiar everyday environment and an ever-changing animated 3D object that reacts to the changes in global average temperature.

On The Rocks visualises changes of the global average temperature through the ice melting in a cup of whiskey, while At Boiling Point visualises it through a boiling kettle. As time spent online increases, the project leverages the demand for more digital content and, in this case, builds on the technology for dynamic digital experiences through data.

These digital artworks act as reminders in the virtual realm of climate change as we become more desensitised to the condition of our planet. Our relationship with the environment affects all aspects of our lives, and the works serve as an observation of the changes happening to our planet.
